Well, look at the 3DS, it has no good games yet. So, Nintendo will probably be slow with this console too. |

Or they might have learnt a lesson from the 3DS not to do that. It'd be nice if it has some good release games. |

Smells a bit like a gimmick, although those are rumours I guess... |

So what would people like to see in terms of launch titles? I'm guessing there'll be Pikmin 3 as that has been circling round for a while now, but it be cool if other franchises like F-Zero got some loving as I've never really got into that series and I'd quite like to. |

Launch titles, huh? Hmm... Maybe a new game with Yoshi as the main character? I'd like a new non-remake Fire Emblem to come out. Or another Eternal Darkness game. :D The odds of any of those games being a launch game for the new console are incredibly slim though. :( |

A new Fire Emblem would be sweet but very unlikely considering the delay there is between Japanese and Western release. And a new Eternal Darkness game would be cool but Silicon Knights haven't seemed to show much interest in developing a new one. I suppose we'll probably see a Mario game considering Galaxy 2 would have be a couple of years old and I wouldn't expect them to release a new Zelda so soon after Skyward Sword unless they do a TP style port job which I doubt they'll do this time unless they're really desperate.

Tsch, I'm not even hugely into Nintendo games. And I'll still buy the damn thing. My 3DS has been about as played as my Wii... |

My Wii has actually received quite a bit of loving recently. Completed Colours and just completed Goldeneye's single player and have had a taste of its online which was actually quite good. |

If they were to do a new Fire Emblem I'd hope for a sensible return to form by going back to the traditional amazing GBA art style rather than this idiotic 3D style they have gone for in Shadow Dragon, which is actually so bad it stopped me playing it, since it made the game feel wretched and slow. Although I wasn't as offended by the Wii and GC Fire Emblem games art style. I just prefer the GBA style greatly. As it goes I am about as interested in this console as the colour of my urine in the morning, I will wait for my Mum to get it and then see what is like. Since she definitely will get it. :) |

Yeah I've not played the DS FE games but must say I missed the hand-drawn sprite work. Had no problem with the console efforts artstyle apart from the fact they looked like Dreamcast games but then I love the whole Dreamcast feel so even that wasn't much of a bugbear for me. But for the next gen game an overhaul in the presentational effort wouldn't go amiss as what works on the GBA doesn't really transition all that well to a bigger medium. Maybe throw in some more sexy FMVs, fully voiced dialogue etc, would be quite nice. Saying that I trust Intelligent Systems as one of the best game developers out there to deliver a solid job regardless and I expect them to deliver some great experiences for Nintendo's next system :x |

Give us a real controller this time, Nintendo. No more shitty motion sensing gimmicks! I'm asking for too much, aren't I? |

Well I think we'll see something different from motion controls now that Sony and Microsoft have jumped on the bandwagon, but I doubt Nintendo would abandon the concept completely if they're intending on any kind of backwards capability. Concepts I've seen have rumoured the controller will be dual analogue but have its own screen so maybe we could see an expansion of the Dreamcast VMU concept? What Nintendo really need to sort out what Iwata has mentioned is getting third parties on board and that means a concept developers will take seriously, not just a quick buck they make by releasing cheap shovelware. Motion control has such potential unfortunately was left in the hands of people who couldn't come up with anything more than 'waggle' to replace button presses.
