...I wanna have words with your dealer Shifts

Nintendo are dropping the RRP of the 3DS to Ł155 effective August 11th, just to wind up all those that paid Ł230 for their's, apparently.
However, to sweeten the blow, anyone who visits the 'eShop' gets a ton of free downloads, Sony style.

We have a proper IRC channel now. irc://irc.synirc.net/noe2, that's #noe2 on SynIRC.net
If you don't know how to use IRC, you can connect through mibbit.com by clicking here

Do not try and eat the cake, only try and realise the truth.
Yeah. The title says it all. BUT there is an actual topic so.

What, now that the great anual gaming drought of January is over, are you looking forward to in the coming year? Gaming/or in general-wise.

Me? I'm looking forward to Duke Nukem forever, Gears of War 3, Skyward Sword and the chance to see how well a 3DS gives me a headache.

Along with shipping up to Manchester to finally start my uni course (good lord, less than 10 months til my gap year's over. Oh dear), as well as... Something. I'll think of something. Mark my words.

What of you, rest of NoE2?

The January game drought just swept by me. I've kept myself occupied with Just Cause 2. Looking forward to Douk, Bulletstorm, Skyward Sword, Brink, Portal 2 and Homefront. Majority of those are FPS. I don't care.

Isn't the 3DS going to cost Ł230 on release? f*** buying that on launch day.

And if all goes well with my A Levels, I'll be moving down to Brighton to start at uni there.

Gaming-wise, I look forward to the Final Fantasy Versus XIII soundtrack. Also, I'm seeing Distant Worlds: Music From Final Fantasy in concert at the Royal Albert in November, which I can't wait for. And Video Games Live is due to play in London at some point this year, the sooner the better!

Particularly interesting non-gaming events just include an archaeological dig in the Summer (assuming I pass first year exams). As well as general uni life continuing as normal.

Games I'm looking forward to:
- Dead Space 2
- Gears of War 3
- Portal 2
- FEAR 3
- Duke Nukem Forever
- Red Faction Armageddon

Other things I'm looking forward to this year:
- Training sessions with Broadland District Council
- Consultation with The Prices Trust about whether my business idea will work (JobCentre think it'd be good for me to start my own business, which is kind of their own way of saying "Yeah, there's jack all work around here.")
- I have a printable voucher for a 2-for-1 experience day or weekend break, hence I can print off as many as I like. Anyone recommend anywhere from here?
- Moving house hopefully some time this year. We haven't had any people viewing yet. Been up for sale since the first week of January I think. Can't wait to get out of this village.
- Norwich Hollywood Bowl has reopened after years of being closed, so might have to take advantage of that.

Well I was really looking forward to the 3DS but it is kinda out of my price range so I'll either wait until I've saved up more or wait and see if it goes down in price. Games I'm looking forward to on that is OoT 3D and Resident Evil.

Like everyone I'm looking forward to Skyward Sword though I'll need to invest in a motion plus sometime. I'm also really looking forward to Batman Arkham City as Arkham Asylum was like my favourite game of 2009 and Portal 2 should be sweet.

Non-gaming wise I'm looking forward to the Batman movie marathon I have planned as well as going to Uni I guess.

Games I'm looking forward to are Dragon Age 2, TES V: Skyrim and Skyward Sword. Along with any games I've been meaning to get for a while that I actually buy at last.

Non-gaming related, I'm looking forward to Leeds College of Music should I be offered a place. Also looking forward to all upcoming gigs with the big band, and all the rehearsals for that matter. And the drama group sessions. And the music lessons, plus practice at home. Really I'm looking forward to pretty much everything. My enjoyment of life has been steadily increasing for a while and continues to do so.

I'm looking forward to the 3DS even though I have no plans to get one. I'm just interested in how it'll turn out.
Skyward Sword I'm not certain about, cos I dont want to get the WiiThingThing24 or whatever its actually called. Wanna know its worth it.
Portal 2 had better be good. Also L.A Noire.

Me and every other Radiohead fanboy have been convinced the new album has been imminent since September, but it hasnt come out yet. Hopefully some time soon, for gawd's sake.
I'm going Interrailling in the summer, so I'm looking forward to dying somewhere in eastern europe.
And it's looking like I'm gonna be studying English Lit and American Studies at Nottingham, which I can't wait for.

Looking forward to playing the 3DS, interested in the OoT remake for it, along with other titles, want to see how the 3D works, and if it kills my head...
Portal 2 of course, can't wait for that.
Need to play Little Big Planet 2, which I should be doing next weekend actually...
I'm looking forward to Skyward Sword, Skyrim and Duke Nukem as well.

Not looking forward to Pokemon Black/White, they don't interest me. Oh, not looking forward to getting my first set of AS results back in March either. Nor the exams that follow them in May and June...

Merry Christmas February!

Like most, I'm looking forward to Skyward Sword. Also looking forward to the second Dissidia game. I'm probably not going to get a 3DS for a while because of the price, but if I get one this year then I'm probably looking forward to certain games on that (Ocarina of Time, Kingdom Hearts, Mario Kart, Paper Mario, Shin Megami Tensei games (if they ever make it over here. Stupid lack of region free on a handheld)).

I'm also looking forward to uni finally being over, though I'm not looking forward to all the coursework, exams and final year project work I have left to do in order to finish it.

I probably have other things I'm looking forward to, but I can't think of more to list right now, and some other things haven't been definitely confirmed for this year yet, so...

Unlike most I am not looking forward to Skyward Sword, my mum is though :^0 . Nah in terms of me, I am mostly looking forward to Shogun 2 Total War, Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3 and TES V: Skyrim which is out in November and already looks jizztastic.

Can't wait for my exams. I wanna blitz them and show up the non-believers. Depending on how things go in the year me and the family might be off to the caribbean, might be being the main part of that sentence. So yeah in general got a pretty relaxing year up ahead.

Sweet. Am aiming to get into Manchester Met. Discovered the entrance grades were lower and more to my skill level, which was brilliant since they have the exact course I want to do, Human Biology. :D

I have some vouchers for Alton Towers. 2 x 2-for-1 admission to the park, and 1 x 50% off hotel rooms. I've already arranged to go with friends.

The vouchers are on boxes of Kleenex, so everyone go out and buy a box of Kleenex each and we could arrange a get-together at Alton Towers maybe...

It's classic, but w/e. It's free to connect to, just need an account. We have recreations of the Pokémon worlds on there (Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh's under construction). Type /l kanto to go to Kanto or /l hoenn to go to Hoenn...

I did see you came on the other day, but sadly I was afk at the time. I can spy on you all through IRC. We should really get an IRC channel going again. It's certainly helped to solidify the old Pokémonline community.

Actually I just did register us. We're #noe2 on SynIRC.net, or irc://irc.synirc.net/noe2

Yeah...
