We've all probably argued at some point about what the best game ever is (and it's STILL Ocarina of Time), but what is your personal worst? The lowest of the low? I could make other similar things, but they seem inappropriate Anyway, for me it could go to the sims. It could go to animal crossing. It could even go to Halo if I'm in a bad enough mood. But I have to name and shame... Posted Image This piece of crap right here. The fighting? Uninspired. The length? Short. The lack of any replay value (it was a short game)? Criminal. The ridiculous level of imbalance? Awful. I really hate this game. I have probably played worse, but it'll always stick out for me. The worst part is I quite liked it when I was 5. Posted Image Lode Runner on the N64. It was terrible. If you fell in a pit, you couldn't jump to escape. You cannot kill the enemies except by making them fall off the edge, despite having a gun. The enemies respawn next to the goal, and you have to go through them to get to it. |

Sorry but for me it is a more recent and terrible rehash of the same old fps system. Modern Warfare 2. Absolutely pathetic, just rehashed everything from Modern Warfare and added a pathetic storyline, i hated Modern Warfares online play and just couldn't be arsed with MW2's. For me it is the worst game ever. |

Hmm, it's difficult to differentiate between worst game ever, and most overhyped or biggest disappointment ever. The worst game I've ever played is most likely Fifa 97, but then, it is a Fifa game. |

Same here I got it for my 9th birthday and I loved it because at the time I loved anything to dowith DBZ. This game is just as bad if not worse in some regards: Posted Image Though luckily DB games are actually quite good now :| Sonic 06 also deserves a special mention for just how bad it is. If beastiality, a bad script and voice acting as well as Silver the Hedgehog isn't bad enough the game often show reminders of just awesome it could have been if given some time and care. As it is though it's a horrible mess of glitches and idiotic storytelling. |

>Implying MW2 is the same old rehash >Remember you're not as old as me Modern Warfare 2 is the same old rehash of halo FPS. Doom, serious Sam, Duke Nukem, TF2, Half Life 2, now THOSE are proper FPSes. |

TF2 is great, except for the bad drop system, hats (Not because I don't have one or anything :shifty: ) and the raging community. ^_^ |

I was tempted to reply with green text implications, but then realised that this isn't /v/. But seriously, I couldn't agree more with your stance on the FPS. Apart from Duke Nukem, but that's only because I've never played DN3D. Or any game from the DN series (not that the rest really matter, right?). I highly recommend Painkiller though if you've enjoyed DOOM and Serious Sam. Oh right, worst game ever? All I can think of right now is Sonic Heroes. The Sims is a large shout too, but that's only because I'm not terribly keen on simulation-type games, whereas I do enjoy 3D platformers, where Sonic Heroes embarrasses the genre. |

I think I'll agree there, but I'd rather start off with Duke Nukem 3D rather than emulating that straight off the bat. |

@PJI You think Sonic Heroes was bad ?:/ Have eyou played Sonic 06? Sonic Heroes though unspectacular blows that game out of the water :| There is one particularly excruciating scene where Sonic actually says: "sound like being a princess isn't that easy." |

I haven't touched Sonic 06', and I plan to keep it that way. If anything, I'm glad I think Sonic Heroes is terrible, as it's a foul taste that has put me off ever playing another 3D Sonic game. I'd rather nail my foot to the floor. |

Shame as the Adventure games are actually pretty good and Unleashed has its moments. And good idea avoiding 06, I bought it as a dare to see how awful it actually was and I was punished for it :| Though strangely I found myself engaged to play on and reach the Last Story. But then again Dan Green is quite an engaging villain :D Has anyone played Superman 64? That is supposed to be really terrible. And not in a 'so bad its good way' :| And I need to stop reading TV Tropes. |

Sonic 06 was full of some good ideas ruined by poor excecution. And bad level design. And sonic team still thing sonic needs a character. And shadow. And everything about 3D sonics. Every 3D sonic has had a redeeming feature: that the levels aren't totally awful. Admit it: grind rails are fun. Sonic heroes is mostly sh!t, but at least the levels aren't horrible. In sonic 06, you don't even get good levels. |

I've always been tempted to play it just because of the reception it's received. That, and ET: The Extra-Terrestrial for the Atari. But then I realised that I play games for fun, and not for being listed as a top-priority for why I should commit suicide. |

I haven't played superman 64. But I can assure you ET for the Atari is only beaten for shittery by very very few games. |
