So, what do you think of the Full body recognition camera device? I personally think it will be a disappointment, because it just seems to do too much to believe. |

I think, tbh, it's not that much greater than an Eyetoy. However I can see it working better and meeting with more success, mainly due to the large degree of exposure it's had... |

A lot of people are hyped about it, and for some reason think it will do everything. I agree its just a better Eyetoy, but I know I won't be getting it. However, I will get the 3DS. XD |

Well now we've seen Kinect AND a new redesigned Xbox, shipping today. If it works, it'll be pretty impressive. If it doesn't, it'll just be another Eyetoy. Much of that footage we saw today could well have been either pre-recorded or set-up. We'll see how it works out on the show floor... |

Well it never has done. Just try setting it up on your computer. All Vista versions come with it and it simply doesn't work :p ... |

Here's the test. Get a Geordie to use it. Get a Glaswegian to use it. Someone from Birmingham. An Irishman. Cornwall. Then get me, because apparently I speak "posh". No, I know it is. :P "Correct" English is what people associate with etonians. I don't think it is correct English, as it stands, because so few people speak it. ;) |

Ok ok, fair point. But to stay on topic here: If anyone read my summary in the E3 topic, they pretty much already know my current opinion on Kinect. And I'm tired now, so I'm going to bed instead of elaborating my opinion. Off topic: Howe, your sig brings back good memories. A tear of joy is shed as I reminisce over the time we got the GCT locked. |

Old topic now I know but something my mate said the otherday made me think of Kinect. My mate is primarily an Xbox gamer and he was telling me how amazing Kinect will be and how it will be so much better than the Wii's motion control (I reminded him that the Wii is nearly 4 years old so obviously technology is better :p ) But the thing is when the Wii first came out he in the 'motion control is lame' camp. But then again that is tribalism for you :D |
