I'm sure most of you must be a little excited, even though I've seen no hype around, not even Serebii TBH ._. It really is a great game though, I played the Japanese version and it's very fun.A good few more pokemon have been added to the Johto dex, (Eg.Mamoswine) and there's a lot of Hoenn/Kanto pokemon to be caught in Kanto. So here's hoping 5th gen will be even better. Lol, imagine if I was serious about that |

I'm definitely looking forward to these games. They're out in a couple weeks or something, right? Sorta' stupid we didn't have a topic for it before. :p I'm hoping none of the greatness of the original Gold and Silver has been lost in the update. |

I've already heard some of the soundtrack rearrangements - some sound good, some sound like they've been put through a mangle. Most are inferior to the originals but that's the effect of nostalgia I guess. |

The American version is out Sunday and the EU version is out March 26th.I imagine we're all going to end up pirating the American version. @Dan:The music isn't that great, I only liked the Kanto Battle theme. EDIT:Roms are all ready out ._. |

But remember, you get a gadget for your Gear which lets you listen to the originals apparently :D. Anyway, I'm gonna be buying the American version. I want the Pokéwalker and you can't exactly pirate that. The price of the UK one is frankly ridiculous, I would never pay more than £30 for a DS game, let alone £40, especially when the USA gets it for $40... |

I'm doing the same as Cieran and getting an American copy. The Pokéwalker is the only way I'll ever be bothered to level my Dusknoir and Umbreon to 100. What version is everyone getting? I'll be getting Heart Gold. |

Heart Gold for me. It's always been that way. Red, Gold, Ruby, Diamond. Gen 2 had some of the best music IMO. Game corner, Rocket Radio Tower, SS Aqua, Viridian Forest, Goldenrod City. Some classic tunez... |

Looks like I might actually have to buy it -.- Nintendo really stepped up the anti-piracy this time round, after every 22 actions it freezes, then after every 3 once you've beaten Whitney.And nobody has been able to crack it, which is unusual because most games get their patch as soon as the ROM's been released.Practically everyone's taken a shot at it and failed. |

Really? That's pretty smart of them. I think it's their second biggest selling franchise, after Mario, and since loads of people have been waiting for Gold and Silver remakes people are bound to pirate it and want to play it. |

It was the same with Spirit Tracks, Chinatown Wars and even the Jap versions of HGSS.It's put a lot of people of pirating big DS titles. |

I'm pretty excited and hope to get Heart Gold :) I've played through Crytsal recently and it is an amazing game, can't wait til I can train my dragonair up to level 55 again to get the awesomeness that is Dragonite :D However it will be a while until I can afford it as all my money is tied up at the moment :( |
