*scrabbles around for papers and whatnot*

Quick report, as I'm going out in 20 mins or so. But:

Biology- C
Chemistry- C
Physics- C
Core Science- B
English Language- A* (100% on ALL coursework!!!!!!!)
English Literature- A* (100% on ALL coursework!!!!!!!)
Graphic Design- D
Business Studies- B
Core I.T- B
I.T in multimedia- C
Maths- A
Religion and Philosophy- A*

Which is enough. Little pissed I couldn't scrape A* maths, but I'll let it slide because I got 5 more passes than expected. Well done to picollo on an absolutely cracking set of results worth boasting about to ANYONE, congratu-bloody-lations. You should be very proud :)

And, a message for anyone who didn't get the results they'd hoped for/someone who knows someone in said situation, don't get yourself down about it. There's still plenty of retake options, and remember that no set of paper letters/numbers can stop you doing what you want if you have a passion for it and are willing to fight for it. There are still other options, like vocationals, apprenticeships, OU courses and probably plenty more. This sounds about as patronising as the lecturers at school, but oh well. I'm not good at motivationals, but yeah. They're statements of results, you're not exactly being judged in purgatory or something.

But once again, well done picollo, and congrats to anyone else who gained results today/last week ^_^

Ah thanks Falc :x and well done to you too for an equally if not more so set of results, I'm sure you as well as everyone else including myself worked really hard to get great results and it will all pay off for us :D

Also Falc great motivational speach, I give it 5 Barry Burtons out of 5 :p

It's odd, I didn't have any Y12 January Exams...

I hope I do for Y13 - I'd like to be comforted by having some of the A2 out of the way instead of relying completely on June exams with no possible resits.

I do think I might not be able to do the first A2 Classical Civ. unit in January... :| I'll be extremely worried if physics is the same.

Oh you doubtless will in Y13. The exams are that much longer that it's not particularly feasible to do them all at the end. In Y12, English was two papers, together lasting three hours. In Y13, it was also two papers, but together lasting 5 hours. Not to say some didn't resit, but still, would be rather unpleasant. That's not a brilliant case study, as the Synoptic paper was the REALLY long one and was separate, but still...

Thanks people ^_^ And picollo, it's not competition. Even if mine were better, it's not a particular issue unless we both apply for exactly the same job.

And, shows how lackadaisical I can be, I wasn't even aware you had January exams :^0

Panic!
Well done and Congrats everyone :D All the hard work and effort has paid off.

Physics: A*
Biology: A*
Chemistry: A*
Maths: A*
Geography: A*
ICT: A*
English: A
English Literature: A
History: A
French: B
R.E - D (I basically just graffitied all over the paper so the examiner must of had a sense of humor)

Over the moon with these results, ALOT better than expected, and alot better than I was predicted. I was only predicted 2 A*s in Chemistry and Physics.#
