As usual, I believe the media are hyping this up. Anything for a story. But as you have probably heard, it's spread right across the world. Are you shittin youselves? |

I won't worry unless thousands of people in this country start to die from it. That's when you worry. I bet in 2 years time there will be sheep flu or something... |

Only a small few people have it in this country. I think it's two people, can't remember. I'm not worried though. The media are really hyping it up though, because there's actually nothing else in the news at the moment. |

everyone is hyping it up the population of mexico city is around what 21m? and just over a hundered people have died from it thats a tinyyyyy percentage!! 2 cases reported in scotland and a few in other parts of the world i meann im pretty sure gordy brown is happy that its dominating the news, it will take some of the spot light off how crap a job hes doing at running the country lately... flu mutates a 1000 times more then in normal cell reproduction hense why there is so many different types and a new flu jab every year etc... its just a new mutaion which seems to be particlarly bad IN MEXICO! it has not yet killed anyone out side of mexico so if we just roll with it and see what happens, we (uk) have a large store of drugs which help, make the symptoms less mild after 10 days your body can start to fight it, and create an immune response, so techincally we should be fine the problem will only start if we create a vaccine only for a more serious strain to mutate hense having no vaccine and start from scatch again in which the more serious strain has time to cause damage... |

To quote a friend of mine: ""The virus could spread to south-east Asia where it could mix with the highly virulent H5 form to create an "Armageddon" virus, said Prof Oxford." Avian Flu + Swine Flu = Flying Pig Flu?" |

But, apparently the masks offer little to no protection. |

A pig flu?! who would have thought... Apparently they're better used as protection against spreading it, IE making the infected wear them.. I think we should have some sort of interactive count in the newsbox with a death counter and sparkles and things./iframe wiki, Cieran. |

As far as I can tell, the swine flu thing is about as bad as when MRSA killed us all, which is the worst tragedy to hit us since humanity was eradicated by bird flu. |

The human race survived the Plague without any real knowledge of medicine. I think we can deal with swine flu. At the end of it though, Britain will be hardest hit, because everyone in Britain is such a swine. |

Do not try and eat the cake, only try and realise the truth.

*Tries not to make racist joke* Anyway, swine flu is clearly some sort of brilliant ploy of some variety to enforce a bit of natural selection. I say, infect EVERYONE with swine flu. Those who're too weak to survive were only clogging up my airspace. Personally, I welcome swine flu with open arms. :x |
