Game:LittleBigPlanet Number of players:4 (i think) price:£35 (yes pounds i bough it in hmv in heathrow) main maker:media molecule system: PS3 Building well i guess we will start off for what this is is mostly known for.The build mode it quite good , there are allot of stickers , material , tools ,music and decorations to unlock and use in your popit menu.Your popit menu is where all you tools are kept and it is easy to open up.The guy who tells you how do build at the start of the game is really funny , hes all posh and stuff. The good this is that they don't give too much stuff to use so that you don't get confused and just play the story mode , but people seem to make allot of good stuff out of the small bit they have. You unlock said stickers , material etc. by playing the story mode (more on that in a minute) and picking up prize bubbles , you can them in your levels. There is a pretty good tweak screen in build mode as well , it can make stuff faster , stronger , tighter and can adjust swiches to do stuff .Something else about the build mode is that your levels are limited to a certain amount of stuff it them and same goes to some stuff you are trying to make.you are able to put in any music you can find in the games story mode. All in all i would have to give the build mode 85% due to the amount of time you have to put into it and the very small atenchion span i have i found it hard to make all the stuff i wanted to.it is very good though with the right balance of tools you have , they pretty much though of everything and being careful not to spam the game with useless tools none needs and knows how to use. Story now to be honest i did not know that there was a story mode in this game until a friend told me AFTER i bought the game.the story mode is the place you go at the start of the game to learn how to play and whatnot.the story mode it pretty good i must say , it is made from the same tools you get in the game that you are able to use in build mode, the only difference is that the levels were made by designers at media molecule. In the story mode you can collect bubbles to tot up your score , if you collect enough in a row it can multiply your score buy every few you get in a row. Some bubbles can give you prizes ,they can be found around certain areas , behind walls or hidden. You can get some by completing the level without dieing or do it in a certain time , placing stickers in the right place and sometimes you will need a friend's help to get some (for example he has to pull a leaver or step on a button and you have to jump up and get the bubbles). It is kinda hard to try and find/get all the bubbles in one level but you are rewarded with more prizes when you do and you also get the template of the level if you do(it is just the ground all the people objects and prizes are taken out). The story line is good i find it a bit hard to fallow but you can get the joist of it which is okay.Through out the game you are playing in different parts of the word witch affects the surroundings , obstacles and people there. The people (or animals) you talk to are pretty...big so that the makers could fit in detail and so on. Every one talks through speech bubble and sort of makes a sound while the bubble is on screen (it is mostly babble if it is a human and very loud animal sound if it is an animal). Most of the things you talk to are...A part about it that i find cool is that the makers of the game used the tools that you can use aswell to make all the levels.Somthing else that i might as well mention here is the person you play as through the whole game. Sackboy™. Sackboy™ is your avatar that you can dress up in clothes you find in prize bubles. You can change the clour of the sack material and put on clothes, there is also some other stuff you can do aswell like change the color and material(like denim) of you popit menu. Score: 85% other stuff:I am sorry to say that there is online on this but i can review it because i cant hook up my internet to my ps3 :(. if anyone wishes to post a review on the online part please go ahead ^_^ , anyway. pretty good game. one word summary:ummm....good would you buy it , rent it or bin it...i say buy but it would be handy if you got to play it befor hand just so you know what your diving into. sorry if my spelling is bad i hit disaster half way through and got all confused please tell me what you think , it is my first proper review :) it took me about an hour ¬_¬ |
