Nintendo are dropping the RRP of the 3DS to £155 effective August 11th, just to wind up all those that paid £230 for their's, apparently.
However, to sweeten the blow, anyone who visits the 'eShop' gets a ton of free downloads, Sony style.

Upon first hearing about this I was excited, I really enjoyed the first one. The first trailer came and it looked promising, you didn't really know what to expect still, but it definately showed potential. The biggest problem was the TV trailer I saw. Unfortunately I couldn't find this trailer, but it incorporates all of the worst parts of the film into it, so the context is completely lost, and so is the humour.

In the first 5 minutes, a young Hellboy is read a bedtime story about the Golden Army. An army created for the Elvem Emporer to fight the war against the humans. An army which would no slow, would not stop and would not show remorse. After guilt setting in, the Elven Emporer calls a truce with the Human race, which stands until today. His son, Prince Nuada, refuses to honor this truce and is exiled because of it. As the film comes back to a modern setting, we find out that Prince Nuada is planning to break the truce and awaken the Golden Army.

Hellboy 2 is definately not the dark blockbuster of the summer, and isn't even as dark as Hellboy. Instead it goes for the bright, fantastic scenery which films have lacked so far this summer (with the exception of Iron Man, perhaps, which did have some colourful scenes) and makes it an enjoyable watch. There is so much colour, and life in every scene, you can't not be entertained. It's definately easier to watch than The Dark Knight. Again, unlike The Dark Knight this is just as action packed and funny as it promised it would be. There are lots of fantastic action sequences throughout, placed at the right time. This film seems to have taken everything you could imagine from the best RPG's and thrown them in to make a fantastic experience, and the artistic nature of the creatures resembles those from Pan's Labyrinth much more. There's an underground troll community, with a fantastic atmospheric market. There's a giant plant. A battle scene in dropping Autumn leaves, much like you would expect to see in a martial arts movie. It's all there, and it's all highly polished.

The plot may be a little bit lacking, as it isn't particularly deep, but the film is to be viewed as a fun film, which it is. If you've found this summer's selection of films boring or just want something that's bright, fun, frsh and funny, then this is a must see.

I think I have to say yes, for a summer film, anyway. When watching one in the Winter, it's probably better to see the darker, which is Hellboy. But if you want a fun summer film, this is it. Even more so that Romancing The Stone. *Cough*screensho-*cough*
