Name: 10,000 BC Genre: Film Director: Roland Emmerich Cert: 12A Cert reasons: Mild/moderate action violence and killing. Vague torture scenes. *Note! There is hardly any blood and gore* By: Cilstér *Note! This review contains spoilers of the plot and some givaways of 10,000 BC, if you don't want to see what happens read my general summary at the end where it will give precentage and graphics and things* I saw 10,000 BC today, and thought it so good as to write a review on it. It starts off with the narrator talking in a deep voice about the 'Maki' or Mammoths and how they sometimes don't come and then moves onto the town fortune teller, where Emeleth is sent in to her. Emeleth reports of 'four legged demons' killing all her people. Then it goes on with D'lei, the main character. Emeleth and most of his village are taken by the 'four legged demons' and him and 2 other men set off to release the village. And so D'lei and the other people trek after them and pass through a village that tell them a lot about D'lei's father and gather an army from neighbouring villages. And together they trek across the desert and just miss their people being brought away by ships. So they begin another trek, a trek across the 'sand sea' or the desert and find the Snake's eye. They end up in ancient Egypt and have to take down the nation. *End of review* Graphics: 95%; love the way the screen goes slightly fuzzy at bits. Sound: 99%; They got the caveman voices just right. Plot: 79%; They took ages to get to it and when they eventually did it went way too fast, though after the first half hour it rocked! General Summary: A great film, *****, you have to see this it's well good! Overall: 94% A film grade ***** |
