"Thanks for the information, Sparky. So that b*****d was here." Jessica said to the busty yellow cat Mobian. Sparky giggled. "That's no problem, Jess! Anything for one of the old gang!" Jessica knew Sparky from the past, when she was first taught how to use magic. Sparky had been one of the very best in the class, specialising in the electrical elemental magics. It was no wonder that she had now become one of the Commanders of the Battle Angel units. Mind you, her skill in magic wasn't all she had used to get in, since she had certain assets that she had learned to easily manipulate people with. She was good enough to become a commander anyway, but she had used her other method just in case. "I'm glad I ran into you. I couldn't get any details out of Jack, but I didn't really expect to really. He's never really been one to talk much." Jessica said, mentioning another of those who had learned magic alongside her. Jack was also a commander now. "He looks so weird with that blue armour on. Mind you, you've gotta' admire his spear. He can really make that thing shine!" "Yeah, and without it, he'd be pretty much screwed." Sparky giggled again. "Right, I'll be heading off to West Crystal City then. If that's where he's headed, then I'll try and beat him there." Jessica said, determined to catch up with Hunter. She started running towards the teleportation device that would take her back to the desert area. It was closer to West Crystal City than Angelo was. |

Cursed woke up, seeing the world upside down. Something was holding onto him with one hand. He looked down, which meant cranking his head up. Big fellow. "Who are you, and why am I a damsel in distress?" Cursed asked. Exeunt threw him in the air, and batted him skyward with the side of his claymore. After a prolonged journey, Cursed hit the ground again. "You seemed different. I took you. Problem?" Exeunt grunted. "Yeah, strangely. Apologise or face a terror that could only be unleashed from the other side." Cursed taunted. Exeunt raised an eyebrow, not that it was visible. He curled a hand around Lorncha. "You've been dead before?" Exeunt asked. "Yeah... long story." "I have as well. How did you get here?" "Good point, actually. Does it matter?" "This is your life, man. I can end it if you like, seeing as it doesn't matter." Exeunt finished with. Cursed clicked his neck. Exeunt tapped his fingers on Lorncha. Cursed growled. Exeunt growled. Cursed fixed his posture to make himself seem a lot taller. Exeunt continued to stare down at him. Cursed sucked in air. Exeunt braced himself, and Cursed fled. Strong or not, that guy looked like a soldier. Soldiers generally weren't alone. He looked behind. Exeunt had carried on walking in the way he was. Cursed followed the path, and found a clearing, with 2 more paths. Cursed took the far right path. He always took the far right path. He just liked the right. Ironic, as everything he did was morally wrong. *** Finne looked up to see Nightmare's palace. Before slashing the very building he was standing on with his gauntlets, he took to flying towards it. He noticed something. No barriers, no ships. No command centres floating nearby. He entered without trouble, and looked around. The air was hazy. Green, and smokey. It was difficult to breathe, but he recognised it as Ghikalahn water. Zevon and his people must be around, Finne thought. He made his way past gored and torn bodies, discerning in the grossness of it all. He even got in the throne room without trouble. He saw it. "Nightmare's sceptre..." He whispered to himself. He dived forward to the throne, and smelled it. Nightmare's incredibly distinctive scent was fresh. Finne took the sceptre, and fled. Something wasn't right. He hid the sceptre in some of his back's scales, and jumped down toward Clustar. Embracing the descent, he didn't slow the fall. He held out a single foot, and his fall made a hole clean through the building he had sliced into pieces. He wondered what held it up. He saw that only the bricks and mortar were broken, and that the stainless steel framework was holding. He bit them all in two, and left. Now the army wanted him, excuses or not. *** Von Richter paced himself at just a tad above their speed, and followed. He held Strikey close, but Rippy extended as far from his body as possible. Von Richter stopped just as the running had. He peeked through leaves to see a girl beating on a guy. He was muttering something about Cursed. It lived? "Halt, mono-lives! It is I, the great Baron Partho Von Richter, master assassin and the greatest fighter there ever was. Cease your dealings with each other, and turn your attention to me, or face a hell that would scare the dead!" Von Richter boomed to Blake and Beccy. "Shut it, Flakespeare. I have something to do." Beccy said, holding a fist high. "I warn you my fair maiden, oncemy wrath begins, I shan't stop until one of us is obliterated. You too, my randy lad." Von Richter excalimed. "You think we were going to...? You're sick! Get lost, mate!" Blake shouted at him in disgust. Von Richter took off his jacket, and put it to one side. "Last chance. Famous last words?" Von Richter asked. No reply. He sped toward them. Blake pushed Beccy off from on top of him (previously pinning him down with her knees) and rolled to the side himself. "Sluggish, at best. And you weren't much better. Oh, how I have weakened over time. Tis a cruel mistress, time. But nevertheless, look upon your death!" Von Richter shouted. |

Shifts lay in bed, miraculously healed by a pink echidna by the name of Laura. He clambered out of bed, smiled at Selly and stretched his 'new' arm. Laura was out of the room yelling at some stranger. She could probably handle it, she had a gun. Shifts stepped towards the window and looked out at the magnificent city set before him. It looked so rich and clean, but it had looked so dull and bleary from when he had seen it on that hilltop. He shuddered, and forced himself not to remember the recent events. He would swear revenge on the imbecile he tried to break every bone in his body. 'I'll break every bone in his body...' Shifts thought to himself. A human entered the room and had asked to stay in the house. Who was this guy and why had Selly accepted? Where was Blaze and Takoa? Shifts had much to catch up on. He stopped time so there were no questions pointed in his direction and headed off downstairs, and out of the front door. Time resumed and he sat on a bench leaning on the side of the house, looking around him and taking in various information. In all his time being away from his family he felt he had aged a good five years after going through some battles and tough consequences. By the time he would get home he would be a completely different person. Little did Shifts know at the moment, he would be a completely different person... |

Blaze was attacking Leo furiously, relentlessly. His attacks were wild, and had a large amount of power behind them. "Where did he get all that power?" Takoa wondered, watching the fight. It seemed that Leo was now losing instead. "Rrraaaggghhh!!" Blaze yelled as he swung the shining red blade. "Uurgh. I won't be beaten by you! You traitor!" Leo yelled, attempting to parry and dodge Blaze's attacks. Blaze then brought the sword up and a cut suddenly appeared on Leo's face. "Aargh! I'll make you pay for that you honourless backstabber!" Leo cried. Blaze merely growled back at him. "Blaze looks like he's trying to kill Leo too! That's not good, I don't want either of them to die!" Takoa thought to himself, starting to get confused. "What happened? Blaze is acting so wild all of a sudden. I'd better stop the fight! I don't know who's in the right anymore. It seems like neither of them are acting right." "Stop it now! Both of you!" Takoa ran towards the two fighters, running between them as they were starting to charge at each other. "STOP!" He blocked Blaze's attack with the Ayvuir Blue in his right hand, and blocked Leo's attack with his other blade in his left hand. He struggled to hold against both of them, feeling his arms tremble under the pressure of both attacks. He wouldn't be able to hold on for very long. They were both going at the attack with great strength. If Takoa stayed where he was, he would soon be hit by both slashes. However, if he tried to get out of the way, their attacks would break through his released blocks and hit him anyway. "Argh! You guys really wanna' hit me?" Takoa asked. "You're in the way! Get out of it, fool, and let me kill him!" Leo demanded. "Do you actually want to die?" "Move it or be killed!" Blaze yelled, with the same attitude. These two really didn't care if he died as long as they got to kill each other. "That hurts, guys." Takoa thought, saddened. He then remembered the new Chaos Crystal that Laura had given him before. "I can fuse with it, huh? I sure as hell hope it's activated by thought!" He then willed the Crystal to join with him, so that they could become one for some time. Hopefully enough time to stop these two! Suddenly, a bright red glow came from the pocket of Takoa's blue trousers, and then it was gone. Instead, there was the same coloured glow coming from the centre of Takoa's chest. It even could be seen clearly through his black t-shirt. Leo and Blaze were completely oblivious to the change in colour though. They were too focused on killing each other! "It must have worked!" Takoa thought excitedly. "Well, here goes nothing." "Chaaooos Blast!!" The words erupted from Takoa's lips, and as soon as they did, energy erupted from around him, blasting the other two back away from him. "Sorry about that." The hedgehog apologised. "I had to stop you. I hope you guys aren't too hurt." He watched as they both regained their fighting postures and prepared to strike once more. They both appeared angry. For the first time in the fight, Leo and Blaze worked together... or maybe they just both had the same idea. They both ran towards Takoa and slashed at him with their swords wildly. He blocked the blows, but was sent flying head-first into the ground behind him. As soon as Blaze and Leo'd done finished their attack on Takoa, they instantly continued to fight each other once more. "Ouch. That hurt." Takoa thought, rubbing the quills at the back of his head with one hand. "I think I'm gonna' need some help if I plan to stop them from fighting. I can't do it alone. Stopping one would be hard enough, but two is even tougher." Suddenly Takoa had a strange feeling. He could feel someone's presence a bit further away from the city, and as far as he could tell they felt pretty strong. Plus they were closer to his current position than the city was too. "Hey, I wonder if they can help me out, whoever they are." Takoa hoped. He then ran in the direction where he had felt the presence. "I've got to be quick!" *** The area appeared to be empty when Takoa reached it. He could see no-one around. "Huh? I was sure someone was here." Takoa said to himself. He then called out. "Hello? Anyone around here? I need a bit of help!" Takoa then heard a sound coming from behind him. Something inside him, insticts maybe, told him that at that very moment he should jump high. He sprang up on the balls of his feet and curled round in mid-air into a back-flip. As he did so, a huge double bladed weapon flew through the air beneath him. Almost as soon as it had passed beneath him once, it did so again, going back the other way again. Fortunately Takoa was still above it at this point. As soon as he landed, Takoa turned around and drew his glimmering Ayvuir Blue with his right hand. He did this just in time to block an incoming slash from a large scythe blade. He looked along the long weapon to it's wielder. A dark black furred wolf with glowing scarlet eyes stared back at him. "Hunter." Takoa said the name, identifying the wolf. The wolf's looks had changed drastically since the day when Takoa had first met him. His fur had completely changed, his eyes had changed, his whole body seemed to have changed since that day. |

Polar and Altair travelled down the roads of East Crystal City. They passed many shops and friendly faces, and even talked to a few people. The sun was shining down and they felt rather hot, but it was a change to when they were in the freezing cold for some time. And as they journeyed down a different street, they came face to face with the Fire Tribe. There was only about 10 of them hanging around outside a shop, waiting for something. "Check it out, Altair," Polar whispered. "It's the Fire Tribe!" "Are you sure you want to?" Altair murmured back. "We did agree on it," Polar replied. Altair sighed, and drew out two pistols. He aimed at the ground in front of the tribe and fired. They jumped in shock, but then they were hit by snowballs. The twins laughed and ran off, with the Fire Tribe close behind them. Polar left an ice trail behind him so the tribe would slip and fall, and it worked. A wave of fireballs, however, struck Altair on the square of his back. Polar skidded to a halt and fired a ton of ice at the attackers, and picked his brother up. He carried him on his back, and then slid off down the streets. |

Leo stared at Blaze, who was in his fighting poise, his eyes still scarlet and filled with anger. What’d happened to him? Leo thought, Blaze had never done that before and the Kyubi was dead, so what was it? Leo drew himself back to the fight, he readied his katana and stared at Blaze and thought, this has got to end, now. Leo roared and charged forwards, the red trails of elementalis coming from his limbs and body, he reached Blaze and their weapons slammed together, they were equally matched now. Their blades were still locked together, they stared angrily into each others eyes, both intent on winning and killing. Leo stared right into the pupils of Blaze’s scarlet eyes wondering what could be going through the backstabber’s mind, and everything went white. He was standing in an all white area; there was nothing, except for Blaze, in dark chains. Leo reached to draw his katana to stab him then and there, but his katana was gone, all of his weapons were. He took a better look around, there were faint images of people and places Leo recognised, and all of them he’d seen when he was with Blaze. He gasped; he was in Blaze’s mind. He looked at Blaze who was still limp, hanging from two dark poles by dark chains with a giant dark shadow looming over it. Leo instantly recognised it, the maddening demon. Leo had fallen prey to it once before, causing him to turn against his friends, Selly had rid him of it, with a little of his own help. So, Blaze hadn’t willingly attacked Selly, he wasn’t a murderous backstabber, he was innocent. Leo reached for his katana in an urge to slay the demon, forgetting that it wasn’t there, but it was there, his katana had formed in his hand, he dashed forward, holding his blade high ready to stab the demon but just before his blade reached the demon, he was thrown back and everything went dark. When Leo opened his eyes he was back in the real world, Blaze was standing some feet away his eyes still red, blade still drawn. Leo stood up, took off Vega’s mask and claw and put them in his hoody pocket. “Blaze!” He called “I know you didn’t hurt Selly now, I’m sorry.” Blaze stood still, he did not change, his eyes remained red, and his blade still in his hand. “Too little. Too late” He replied and he dashed at Leo swiping and slashing. Leo blocked the attacks with some difficulty, his katana slipping to the ends of his fingers several times before he snatched it back again. Eventually Leo knocked Blaze’s arm up and smacked him in the chest with the hilt of his katana sending Blaze stumbling back a few feet. Blaze looked up, rubbing his chest; his eyes seemed to be a fainter red now. “Leo” He stammered “What’s going o-” a dark arrow made from what seemed to a dark purple crystal entered Blaze’s back. He stood gasping for breath, no blood seemed to be emerging from the arrow’s wound but, he fell to the floor. “NO!” Leo cried as a similar arrow entered his own chest. He stared down at the arrow, lodged in his torso, inches from where his heart was. He then fell to the floor, staring up at the gloomy grey sky. A white hedgehog with a robotic eye made from what seemed to be the same material as the arrow leaned over him. “Artemis” Leo muttered, the hedgehog smirked and said. “ArkAngel sends his regards” Before disappearing out of view as Leo closed his eyes. When Leo opened his eyes he was looking up at a grimy white ceiling, he was on a rather old horrible looking sofa, Leo recognised the room as Blaze’s old living room. Blaze was lying a sleeping bag on the floor, unconscious, yet alive. |

Cursed had a better idea. With a quick energy scan, his mind had locked onto Flame and Nightmare. Dead or alive, it didn't matter. Their energy would be most bountiful to his body. He flew to the sky, and homed down on Nightmare. Cursed wouldn't dare give her any hope of escape. And if this didn't draw Shigeru out, the man must have a heart of steel. There she was. The most helpless thing he had ever seen. It was bloody hilarious. A goddess. At his mercy. "Please. Have some heart, Cursed. Leave me be, to die in peace." Nightmare said, knowing full well that he'd take her. "I'm sorry, m'lady. But your body is far too delectable and filled with beautiful... energy to pass such an opportunity. Today will forever mark the anniversary of your husband's death. And when I am the unquestionned ruler of existence, I'll make sure to mention that you managed to struggle pitifully for about a week before I crushed you all single handedly. My life will be chronicled, I'll have you know. In your husband's blood. Now, come here. Quiet. Accept your fate." Cursed spoke. He expanded a hand until a hole was visible. He swallowed her hole with the hand, and stood there. For a few seconds, her shape could be made out from inside him. Then she was digested. Cursed reformed once again, stronger, and in a new body. He took off, and relocated Flame. Flying down towards him, he saw a groove in the ground where Flame had crashed. He looked upon his carcass. From a first glance, Cursed was convinced he was dead. He kicked Flame about a bit. "And this ridiculous game of cat and mouse ends. Goodbye, Flame." He said without emotion. Cursed went with the usual method of eating Flame, as he'd done with everyone but Nightmare. Unlike Nightmare, Cursed quickly swallowed Flame, rather than savour the increase in power, the rush of blood to the head. This was paranoia, to narrow down the chance of him escaping as much as possible. Cursed took to the skies again. Blake surely wasn't expecting a follow up strike so soon, or so strong. Even if he was, he had no chance now. Cursed found Blake, and that girl from earlier, and flew towards them. They had company. "Cursed Ghikahlahn, number 150. The Ghikahlahn's only success story, as I have free will. The 47th dimension's finest man-made creation, and the one to rip apart the fabrics of reality. Blake. Look upon thy death!" Cursed monologued. "Oi! I jus' said that, all posh 'n' stuff. Leave it ou', or I'll bop ya into the groun'!" Von Richter said, his old accent returning in anger. "He's my enemy, get your own! Anyways Ricky boy, how are you alive?" Cursed asked smoothly, trying to hide his fear. "I should be askin' you tha'," Von Richter yawned, stretching his limbs. Blake and Beccy had begun to make their escape unnoticed. "Seems something's gone wrong... you know... 'upstairs', as it were. Nightmare can't control the dead... God knows why. The dead aren't the dead anymore. They just take a short holiday from life, and they're back. Obviously, Shigeru can't do it by himself. My absorbtion is still fine, though. Thanks to the gods, I am the only constant threat that this world can offer. Ready to concede defeat?" Cursed growled. "My boys are here wif me, Cursed. We could easily hold ya dow'." Von Richter mumbled. "Not with you. You seem alone, now that Blake and Beccy have escaped. Knowing you and your cliche ways, I'd guess Finne and Exeunt are alone as well. I could pick you off one by one." Cursed cackled. Von Richter ran. Like it or not, Cursed was right. He was in no condition to fight alone, and fresh out of hell. Oh wait... "F*CK! MY JACKET! GOUGY! STABBY!" Von Richter spouted uncontrollably. Cursed stopped running. Could he be given any more advantages? He went back to the clearing they had been in a moment ago. No jacket! Von Richter had tricked him! Oh well... Cursed could sense powers now, and Cursed hated being tricked. |

Blaze stared around his mind, until he noticed it. He darted over to the Kyuubi, well what little of it was left, was in chains. He grabbed for Ayvuir Red to stab the demon, but to no avail. His blade wasn't there. He blinked and the demon was gone. Leo stood in its place. A background came into view and Blaze looked up at Leo. Leo held out his hand, Blaze grabbing it and pulling himself up. "So, what happened then? I can't remember anything except the start of our fight..." Blaze asked Leo. "Well, not much really... Oh, and I've now confirmed it. Your head is empty." Leo laughed. Blaze smiled at Leo before being struck by a fast pink object. "Blaze!" Selly yelled, hugging him. "I thought you were..." Selly's ears flopped and she looked down. Blaze lifted her face before kissing her on the lips. The two sat for a while until Leo had a random outburst. "Go get a room!" He yelled before running from Blaze. "Damn you Leo!" Blaze shouted. Selly chuckled and sat down. Project end... |
