Title: Need a new game

Danny - January 13, 2008 03:49 PM (GMT)
Basically I just want to have some recommended games to buy for my DS. I want something decent and you can pick almost every game that out because I only have 2 games for it.

MKDS
Pokémon Pearl

Don't want: Tetris, donkey kong robots game thing forgot what its called. super mario bros, mario 64 or any FF games

TimeShift - January 13, 2008 04:00 PM (GMT)
The Legend of Zelda : Phantom Hourglass?

Danny - January 13, 2008 04:10 PM (GMT)
Nah, they can never keep me entertained.

The Ross Man - January 13, 2008 04:29 PM (GMT)
Worms Open Warfare 2?
Animal Crossing?

Danny - January 13, 2008 05:07 PM (GMT)
Hate animal crossing but may get worms 2 I played one and liked it and I have wi-fi for number 2.

The Ouendan games are great fun, as is Worms. EBA works if you can't import. Tony Hawks games are good, Mario Slam Basketball is a laugh, though it doesn't have much replay value. Viewtiful Joe is a highly unique game which I loved, and if you like something that's a bit different, as well as platformers, it might appeal to you as well.

42 All Time Classics is fun as well if you know a few people with DS's, or with the game and wifi. Otherwise, don't bother.

Go for the DS Castlevania games - they're very good (well, I'd say Dawn of Sorrow is more fun that Portrait of Ruin, though I think Portrait of Ruin would last longer in terms of a slightly longer game, its a bit more difficult (though still for a Castlevania fan pretty easy) and has more unlockable modes. Plus it has better music :p

It may be quite old now but Advance Wars DS is quite an entertaining game, haven't completed it yet but it's great for a bit of a cahllenge and like Dino said the two Castlevania games are great as well, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow being the better of the two. Also the Phoenix Wright series of games are gtreat as well, i definately recommend them.

Noolsey - January 14, 2008 03:47 PM (GMT)
It seems that none of my posts yesterday worked. ¬_¬ Anyway, Pheonix Wright is over rated. It isn't bad, but not as good as they say, it's a weak 7/10. Not much point to replaying it.

I recommended Dawn Of Sorrow as well. It's one of those games that you can choose to take seriously or not.

Lost In Blue is great for a sim style game. Basically it's a survival sim. But you can win. Keeps me entertained, haven't played it for long in the time I've had it. But any sim usually only entertains me for half an hour. By that I mean the longest I've lasted on one is half an hour. Is it supposed to be half an hour?

I was going to get Advanced Wars, but heard of a new one coming soon. So I'd wait for that if I were you. That's what I'm doing. I also want a Golden Sun and Fire Emblem game for it. I haven't played the others in those series either. But they look good.

Worms 2 looks a lot better than the first. And someone explained the map creation to me, if it's true, then I'll spend most of my time on that.

If you want an RTS, get Settlers. A great series and 2 is definately the best. Although I only ever played it in German, if I ever see it in Game I'll definately pick it up.

While this is true they are great fun to play. But, when knowing all the answers, there is 0 repay value.

dawn of sorrow is an amzing game which i saw in game for 15 quid. bargain

worms 2 is ace as well and really surprised me when i became addicted to it. Its also cheap and i got it for 13 quid from play.com. bargain

brothers in arms is excellent for the ds and surprised me again. it doesn't last very long but when you complete it you unlock some new weapons which can make the game fun again. also for only 10 quid in the play.com sale it is definatley worth it. bargain ;)

Danny - January 14, 2008 05:47 PM (GMT)
I'm getting drawn towards worms because I can become addicted to it and it has wi-fi and I'll be able to order it cheaply from play.com.

well what i do is wait for a while until i forget the answers and go back to it then, plus the stories and characters are so charming anyway it really doesn't matter :D . i would also recommend you wait for Fire Emblem DS as well as it really is a great sereies as well.

You can get it for half the price on cdwow.com but they're stock comes from Hong Kong so you'd be waoting for 3-4 weeks whereas Play say 3-5 working days which always means 5.

skaterzpenguin - January 21, 2008 01:14 AM (GMT)
Mario and Sonic at the olympic games is coming out for DS so thats a good game, castlevania, mario 3-3 hoops, and I think their is a Harvest moon game for the DS if i'm not mistaken...

Why?

TimeShift - January 30, 2008 08:02 PM (GMT)
Notice the question mark. I was just using it as an idea seeing as it is not being used and Danny has his game. ?:/

Daz - January 30, 2008 08:03 PM (GMT)
