Title: Just A Thought...
Mark1006 - January 3, 2008 04:59 PM (GMT)
I was just thinking, what about a VC for the DS?The VC on the Wii let you play old consoles, so why not the DS let you play GB/GBC/GBA games?

There is a Wii Channel in Japan where you can download DS Demo and then send them to your DS, much like how the Download Stations worked. Maybe one day full games will be put on there for download as well.

Well, if they put full games on it, Nintendo would receive a lot less money! And nobody would buy games in game shops.

I'm sure full DS games would be paid from using Wii Points.

More like DS Points, lol. Anyway, The DS should get a similar feature. I want to play Metroid 2 again. I can't find that game in any of my local game stores.
eamonn - January 3, 2008 06:38 PM (GMT)
Memory issues, I suppose.
shoeb_star - January 3, 2008 06:46 PM (GMT)
It would be handy and more suited. They should make some kinda usb to plug in the ds and you could be able to buy them from the nintendo site with points and download the game and put it on the ds. :p
Tenshi - January 3, 2008 08:52 PM (GMT)
Well, there is always the R4.
Danny - January 3, 2008 09:14 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't mind getting some of my old games back for free on my DS.
The Ross Man - January 31, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
Nintendo could make "memory cards" for the DS. They'd be games with most of the cartridge empty. You pay for the "memory card" connect to WiFi with it and download stuff. It would work.
Cieran - January 31, 2008 08:58 PM (GMT)
You can get them, they're called R4DS carts...

I was thinking of buying one actually. I suppose downloading games on it is illegal though, yeah?

Yes it is very illegal and I think, from what I've seen on the net, Nintendo maybe planning on suing the makers of it.
Noolsey - February 1, 2008 04:15 PM (GMT)
They've done nothing illegal by making the cart.

No, but downloading the games on to it is illegal.
The Ross Man - February 2, 2008 04:20 PM (GMT)
But more than just games can go on it...
Cieran - February 2, 2008 04:30 PM (GMT)
The R4DS cart is as legal as Limewire. Not illegal in itself, but what you do with it is. Unless you're one of the two people who actually use Limewire to search for GPL licensed programs...

Memory issues? they would have to put out a memory card reader or somethign that would occupy one of the two slots. It would be an awesome feature though.
