Has your Wii ever froze and not turned off via remote or console and you unplugged it from the mains, then when you plug it back in the light doesn't come on and the wii won't come on with remote or console? If so, what did you do?

It's never happened to me, but what happened before it froze? I assume you were playing but did any one touch it or go near it at all or did any unusual electrical thing happen? I probably wont have a clue even when you answer the questions but this will help other people come up with ideas.

I was on the Wii Menu, put in my PBR (Which I bought this morning!) and caught the - on the Wiimote so I pressed the + straight after. It just froze on the channel. I tried turning it off with the remote and console but nothing so turned it off at the mains.
I've just fixed it. All you do is unplug it and plug it back in again after 30-ish seconds.

Why did you switch the mains off? Did you try pressing the power button and hold it down for a few seconds. Its easier to switch off if it frozen. I wonder y it froze wen u did that tho.

i've experienced nothing like that but there have been times when my wii remotes stop working for some reason, they have fresh batteries and are synchronised but there are times they just refuse to work.

Yeah. I have. You have to switch it off at the mains. No power buttons on the console or remote respond at all.

That never happened to my Wii and I know lots of people who have Wii and it has never happened to them either. Weird.
