From GamesRadar

It seems the faithful may be about to get their reward. After a decade of delays, the now mythical Duke Nukem Forever is going to get a new trailer today. 3D Realms' FPS sequel has almost become an urban myth of gaming over the years, postponed so long that many have doubted it even still exists, with even more seeing it as one of the best-loved jokes in gaming culture. No though, all that might be set to change.

3D Realms has announced that a new DNF teaser trailer is set to hit its site at around 12 noon today, CST (around 6pm GMT), with a fuller gameplay trailer to follow at some point (No doubt "when it's ready"). 3DR's George Broussard is keen to point out that the trailer is just a teaser and won't compare to the game's 2001 E3 trailer, so how much gameplay footage we're going to get, if any, remains to be seen. The shot below comes from the new reel.

Should we still care by this point though? Yes, we think we should. As derided as the series has become in some circles due to Duke Nukem Forever's delay, it's important to remember that Duke Nukem 3D was actually a really good game for its time, and still stands up pretty well today. And while Duke Nukem Forever has probably changed completely since 2001, the gameplay footage we saw back then looked very special indeed. If that game had been released then (and before Half-Life 2) it probably would have dominated the charts.

So here's hoping that the new trailer means that DNF is finally on its way. All obvious jokes about the irony of the title aside, the pedigree it has combined with 3D Realms having had a really long time to get it right might bring us a great Duke game yet. And that would make us happy. We've missed the big goofball.

All I can say is about f***ing time! Hopefully it will make it out onto the consoles, my PC won't be powerfull enought for the game and I stoped playing PC games years ago.

I've only played one. Years ago. Late 90's early 00's maybe. It was alright, nothing special. The trailer doesn't give, well, anything.

I'll always know it for this though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ov3p49HY3w

That is a funny video but I won't quote it here. ;)

As for the old DN games they where great, it will a lot like Doom but with a story line and a lead character with personality. How I loved both the N64 games.

The screens in PCGamer look crap. I'll take a photo when the camera has power. Currently I'm unsure if I'm charging it...
