Roxas is the star of the new Disney/Square adventure
Here's news that will please RPG fans. Kingdom Hearts, the Square/Disney role playing game, has been confirmed for DS.

It's great news as this will be the first Kingdom Hearts game on a Nintendo console since the excellent Chain Of Memories was released on Game Boy Advance in 2005. The adventure, an unlikely collaboration between Square and Disney, starred a boy called Sora who along with Goofy, Donald Duck and Jiminy Cricket, walked into a castle and lost his powers and magic.

The new game is called Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days and follows the story of Roxas who appeared at the end of Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories. He is Sora's Nobody who was created when Sora gave up his heart to save Kairi in the first PlayStation game. He also possesses the Keyblade which locks the keyholes - passages that the Heartless (the dark creatures that consume people's hearts) use to remove the heart from a world.

The new game will also have a time theme and will feature a four-player adventure which you can play using Organisation XIII, a group of Nobodys who sought to discover the mysteries of the heart in Chain Of Memories.

358/2 Days has been co-developed by the makers of Final Fantasy: Chocobo Tales and will be fully 3D.

Some good news. Hopefully it won't mess about too much with what happened in KH2 and won't be a card game like CoM.

This could be something I could finally get for my DS, since my Lite is seeming a bit useless at the moment.

this is excellent news. i just hope they don't drop the bar of quality on it because it's handheld

well apparently the game will be in full 3-D... i imagine this will be like the normal KH games then... but obviously the graphics won't be as superior as the PS2 but they'll still look good. They'll either go one way or the other... bad or good. but i'm really looking forward to this game and i just need to wait for a release date :)

I've just been looking around for some KH pictures and i found some new info on the DS game...

spoilers are here so i'm gunna make the text very small because i'm just that awesome ^_^

We are introduced with the scene where Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories had came to an end, and are then confronted with the phrase "The other side attached to Sora still sleeps", along with "The mind comes back whenever they touch."

The video then focuses upon Roxas and Axel, sitting atop the clock tower in Twilight Town. This seems to be the same scene from Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+. Soon after, the video shows Roxas being invited into Organization XIII. He is being greeted by all, and introduces himself, and they do the same to him. Then the scene fades into Roxas actually joining the Organization.

Following this is a short clip of Mickey talking about Axel, and Saix near Roxas. Roxas is shown pulling out both of his keyblades, and it moves into gameplay. The gameplay confirms that you may play with Roxas, Axel, Saix and Xigbar.

Xemnas then mentions something very interesting. He explains that a 14th member has joined their Organization, and that this member is female. This scene is quickly followed by the title of the game: "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days" and a whispering Roxas saying "I will disappear from this world in 151 days"
