I think it would be different.
You'd probably play with the Gamecube Pad in my opinion.
The Ross Man - January 28, 2007 08:56 PM (GMT)
Well there definately will be one. In the Wii instruction manual, if you look at the message board section, there's a ,message that looks like it was sent from AC(it has the furniture symbol). ;)
I'm not sure when we'll get it though...

It'd be cool if we got it really soon!
I hope it's going to be better than the gamcube and the DS one.

__daz - January 29, 2007 09:40 PM (GMT)

QuickSpark - January 29, 2007 10:36 PM (GMT)
Nintendo officially announced it, I remember reading about it in a mag, and it will use the wiimote.

Aww.
I thought it would be easier with the gamecube pad.
Oh well, i'll live.
It's not like it's the end of the world.

i read this note and they said it would be cool if you used the remote to use the tools eg like the shovel scoop it downwards!

Thats a given because of what the Wii remote can do. I would hate it if it turned out to be just pressing A or B to use the tools.

having to do the motions would be good to start with, especially fishing, would be good, but after a while i would probably get bored of all the in unnecessary movement lol.
So i would like the option to use A and B instead

Edge magazine is reporting that Nintendo's Wii iteration of its hugely popular Animal Crossing franchise is taking a massively multiplayer online direction.
While we're still waiting for Nintendo to officially confirm anything about a Wii version of Animal Crossing (apart from the fact that it's coming), Edge's latest issue opens with the news lead: "Animal Crossing goes MMO".
The latest issue of the mag reports, "A Japanese source has confirmed to Edge that the upcoming Wii iteration of Animal Crossing is set to be a social networking MMO."
No further details are reported so we're left hanging about exactly when we'll be able to buy cheap turnips off the black market in Russia.
When contacted Nintendo only say it wouldn't comment on rumour and speculation. Bet your biggest fish this is happening... |
It becoming a MMO would be sweet!

jayiszebest - December 27, 2007 07:32 PM (GMT)
It's amazing on the DS, if it became an MMO imagine the size of the parties you could have in your towns :^0 having a few thousand people in your town must feel good! :D
nintenmad - December 27, 2007 11:50 PM (GMT)
nintendo dont do mmo's and if they do something with an mmo feature you wont be able to communicate with the people fully

Nintendo haven't done one yet, this could very well be their first try into MMOs. I just hope it all works out in the end as this could go very, very wrong yet.
jayiszebest - December 28, 2007 10:17 AM (GMT)
It would be a good opening into another type of gaming for Nintendo, lets just hope they take their time and don't ruin it. ;)
King Of Suede - December 28, 2007 06:00 PM (GMT)
this is the kind of game that would be made lazily just reheats or it could be the best game of our lives
