I'll explain my reasons another time but it's the bottom one for me.

I want one. Because of GT5 :p It's a great piece of kit, even if it is a little overpriced.

I want one because of the RPGs the PS2 had and possible sequels for the PS3. Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Shadow Hearts, Star Ocean... I could go on for ages. :p

Well, I want one. Not so much I'd kill for one though. It would be nice. But, I'd never afford it. ^_^

I wouldn't go out and buy one, but if I had some disposable income available and had everything I needed I may get one...

I dont want one. Most of what is coming out on the PS3 will be on 360, which is cheaper. And has a better control pad. The PS3 wont even exclusively own MGS5 anymore. Even if it didn't have these bad points, it's too expensive.

I don't want one, sure it's got better graphics but other then that it's like the ps2 witch I already have.

In all fairness, for what it is, it's a great piece of console. It works well, plays "hardcore" and "softcore" games. It has a decent online play already AND it plays blu-ray, not a bad thing to have, really.

It's costly, sure, but daamn if it isn't worth it.

Then...daamn. I think that they needed a backup console because they wanted to keep their profile good and a company that releases consoles once a year, its a rubbish console, a rip off ( as bad as Ireland ) and a unecesary piece of kit.

I don't think they'd have the time (they did have about seven years I suppose :) ) or money to make a back-up Cilster.

I think that the PS3 is not worth the money. It has hardly any good games and I don't need Blu-Ray and the such. I hate that it does not have Rumble. The system itself is huge and it takes up a lot of space.

I didn't like the most important part of the console: it's controller. Controllers are very important, its what put me off the first XBox. Anyway, back to the PS3's controller. Now, I only got about 20 minutes with it so maybe with more time I may think differently about it but when I was using it, it just felt really cheapy made and more compacted but in a bad way. The PS2 controller was good, yet they messed it up going to the PS3 and it really put me off the console. And this is after the high price and lack of games out and coming out.
Right now, I can't see myself getting a PS3. All the games on there I don't want and most of them are coming to the Xbox360, which I own. Even MGS4 doesn't look any good after seeing some of the gameplay videos on YouTube.

I think that the PS3 is overpriced. That is about it. Other than that, i have nothing against it.

I think its stupidly over priced, big and over estimated. any way, it actualy wouldnt fit in my study (or computer room or games room or whatever you call it). The only thing I like about it is some of the games.

Hmm..The ps3 is the only next gen console that i havent owned.And i dont think i will ever own one.Simply because of the price.There is some great games out onit though and i bet the graphics are awsome but Sony have priced me out of one.

Is the controller like the ps2s?

Ive got one but i dnt use it much. Dont use it much for gaming, more of a media centre. Its a waste for now but itll improve in the future and better games will be out.

I wouldn't worry about the price so much, it'll die down.

The standards of the Wii are much higher in that equation that I would usually give...

While I still have nothing against Sony and PlayStations there is still nothing on there that I want that I can't just get on my XBox360. And MGS4 doesn't interest me at all. Maybe once Kingdom Hearts 3 is out I may get one.

You have to love how they made a cheaper version to get more people to buy it, they put a smaller hard drive and removed software backwards compatibility, meaning that the target audience it was aimed at (people who didn't want to pay full price and then only buy one or 2 ps3 games and continue to play their ps2 games) didn't buy it.

I would also like one to put linux on, just because you can.

So, the PS3. How many of you have played it for more than about five minutes? Have you just said you dislike it because this is a Nintendo forum or did you truly dislike it? Why do you dislike it? Why?

I have played all three next gen consoles. Each is good, but each is better at different things.

I haven't played one for long, but I have played a PS3. I'm still waiting to get my hands on a great game but, right now, there is nothing on there I want that I can't get on the XBox360. I'm sure I will end up with one sooner or later but right now I have no plans to get one. I'm enjoying my Wii too much right now anyway. :)

i have played one for about 30 mins, i though it was basically a graphically updated ps2.
i have played the 360 for bout 10 hours total and i thought that it was a greatly improved Xbox, it seemed to have been improved in general, more so that the ps2 to ps3.
The wii on the other hand hasn't graphically improved much but but the way you use it has and makes it very fun for playing in groups, but it is not as good when on your own. Pc's are the same as ever but they improve speed and graphically every year.

Value for money wise i would say the wii was best, then 360,Ps3 then Pc.
PC's cost loads if you get top of the line, a top of the line computer could cost you in excess of £5000 lol, although the performance gains aren't too much more or the regular user than a £1000 pc.

Summary The PS3 is just a PS2 and a PSP with a touch of improvement and excellent graphics :smug:
