>>>15. Crying Kitten:
You may find you get a crying kitten arrive at some point. She will tell you where she is from and that she wants to go back there. It takes about 1 week for her to leave on her own, however if possible you should re-unite her with her mum as you receive a special gift a rare or lucky item:
Apple TV,
Music Box,
K & K's Pic ,
Papa Bear,
Lily-Pad Table,
Papa Panda ,
Lovely Phone,
Portrait.
Just get her to follow you to the Gate and go to the town she came from, it will be someone on your Friend List. Make sure to walk slowly or she will fall over and start crying again.
If you have her mother then you have to open your gate so that the person with the kitten can bring her back to your town. You will get nothing if they are reunited.
>>>16. Special Character Appearances:
Most of the Characters you meet are on a random day from Mon-Fri 6am till 12 Noon like Pascal for example.
Lyle is always there on Saturday morning from 6am till 12 Noon. You organise with him what day Redd will turn up on.
Redd owns and runs a market that will show up outside of Town Hall on the day you asked Lyle to sort out for you. If you have never met Redd before you will need to ask an animal the password. Then you will need to pay a membership fee of 3000 Bells. Once you have signed up Redd will send you a letter the day before telling you the password.
His tent will have a few items for sale, some are rare, some arent but they are always on sale for twice the amount that Nook would charge for them. He also sells paintings but most of them will be fake. There is no way of telling if they are real or not until you take them to the museum to donate them.
Joan comes every Sunday between 6am and 12 Noon to sell Red and White turnips.
Gracie is a giraffe with a passion for fashion who drives around from town to town. On days she arrives in your town, she will be located in front of the Town Hall with her car parked nearby. Talk to her to receive your fashionista badge. She will ask you a series of questions in order to determine a type of normal shirt to give you. Make sure you have one letter slot open; Gracie will give you an envelope with your certificate (and an item if she disapproves of your current taste). Bug Gracie a bit more and she'll ask you to donate money to her for a makeover. Most donations of 5,000 bells and up will net you a Gracie exclusive fashion. Makeovers usually include a new shirt and accessory. If you snub Gracie, however, she'll give you a Mouldy Shirt.
In Animal Crossing for the Nintendo GameCube, Gulliver (after Swift's Gulliver's Travels) would wash up once a week on the shore of your village. If you spoke to him, he would reward you with a knick-knack he had acquired in his travels. As in the prior game, Gulliver gives away exclusive items. This time, however, he's graduated from a small time sailor to an astronaut. Speak to Booker to find out what days Gulliver's been sighted. If Booker says that Gulliver has been sighted recently, during the day you will sometimes see a UFO fly through the top screen of your Nintendo DS (On minutes ending in :x4). Gulliver is in this UFO, and if you shoot him down fast enough with a slingshot (we recommend that you be close to the top of the village to do so successfully) he will send you out on a quest to retrieve parts for his spaceship. If you help Gulliver out, he will reward you with a number of artefacts.
Nintendo Power listed an inventory of the items Gulliver gave out in their Official Guide to Animal Crossing: Wild World, but notably left out one item internet users found very quickly. Gulliver can give out an unlisted Metroid (from the Metroid games), which is part of a four-piece Nintendo set.
Katrina the cat is a travelling fortune-teller who appears to have been schooled in fortune-telling from those wacky mystics from the SNES classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. When Katrina shows up in your town, she'll set up her tent in front of the Town Hall. You can receive two types of fortunes every time she arrives. A general one, that costs 100 bells, and a compatibility fortune for the same price. Katrina's general fortune determines whether or not you will have good or bad luck that day. Good luck may bring increased balloons, money rewards, and rarity of items received. Bad luck causes you to trip a lot. If your luck is very bad, you may wish to ask Katrina to cleanse your spirit. This costs whopping 10,000 bells, but will undo any bad luck. Think twice before you ask Katrina to do this--bad luck will wear off by the next day.
Pascal is a red otter that randomly appears on the shores of your town. He's a bit of a hippie, so talking to him can be an interesting experience. However deep (or confusing) his thoughts may seem, it's well worth listening to Pascal. When he's done philosophising he'll give you a piece of Pirate Furniture before diving back into the ocean (until the next time he returns). Pascal also gives out the Golden Axe and a picture of himself in exchange for a scallop shell.
Saharah the camel travels all over the world selling wallpaper and carpet to support her village back home. Unfortunately, she has a bad habit of forgetting to carry maps with her. When Saharah comes to your town, she will need your help to deliver her goods to the villagers in her town. Good deeds don't go un-rewarded, however. If you help out Saharah she'll give you one of her exclusive wallpapers or carpets, though you won't be able to choose which in advance.
Wendell the Walrus loves to paint, but alas, he is one of those starving artist types. If you run into Wendell in your town, he will likely ask you for something to eat. Appeasing him is easy enough; Wendell will eat any fruit or fish you bring him. In return, he will reward you for your kindness with a pattern, most of which are designed to be placed outside on the ground. However, the type of pattern you receive depends on the type of food that you give Wendell. Thus, because of the availability of certain food items, a variety of patterns can only be obtained during certain seasons.
Dr Shrunk Will teach you emotions. To get emotions (the ability to blush, cry, clap, surprise steam from ears etc) you need to meet Dr Shrunk. A character that looks very odd. He is a salamander, and can be found wandering around your town on a random day Mon-Fri between 6am and 12 Noon.
First he will teach you to blush. Then each time after that you can choose what you one want to learn out of the 4 he offers. When you go to your speech menu you will get a button appear just above the keyboard just tap it and your character will do the action.
If you pop into the roost at lunch times you may find someone having a coffee too.
And K.K. Slider is there every sat 8pm till midnight. More information in the FAQ.
Wishy the Shooting Star is a shooting star that will show up at night. It will just fly across the top screen at high speed and make a high-pitched Bring noise. When this happens press the A button or tap your character so they make a wish on the star. This only works if your hands are empty so dont hold any items. If you wish on the star then you will get a letter the next day with a gift in it. I dont know what every item you can get but I have got both the Master Sword and a Throne from him. You could go a long time without seeing it but on the night when it shows up you could see it many times; Ive seen him 3 times within 1 minute before and about 15-20 times in total, but there are nights when you will see it just the once. However, while you could wish on every star you will only get 1 gift the next day. Wishy is one of the few Special Characters that will show up in WiFi mode.
HOT TIP! With most of them you can go back with other housemates and get up to 4 items each time you see one of the Visitors. This works with all of them

>>>19. Feng Shui:
Wild World Feng Shui is based on an actual concept of harmoniously arranging one's room. The American Heritage Dictionary lists the following definition: "The Chinese art or practice of positioning objects, especially graves, buildings, and furniture, based on a belief in patterns of yin and yang and the flow of chi that have positive and negative effects." Although this definition may be the oversimplification of the year (and we highly recommend Wikipedia's article on Feng Shui. If you're interested in learning more) there's not much more to Animal Crossing Feng Shui aside from arranging certain coloured items in particular positions or quantities.
In Animal Crossing, furniture items each have two Feng Shui colours. Feng Shui colours do not necessarily correspond to the item's outward appearance. Items may also possess two of the same Feng Shui colours (ex., the Froggy Chair, which has 2 x Green Feng Shui). Although there are eleven Feng Shui colours (black, blue, brown, colourful, gray, green, orange, pink, red, white, and yellow), only red, yellow, and green items can affect your luck. All other colours are used to calculate HRA Colour Bonuses. This is discussed in more detail in the HRA Guide. Animals sometimes ask for items of a specific colour; it is the Feng Shui colours listed above that they are referring to.
Items that have red, yellow, and green Feng Shui colours should be ideally placed in corresponding red, yellow, and green areas of the room. Using the main room of your Animal Crossing: Wild World house as an example, assume that the entrance from the outside is the "southern" side of the room. Green items should be placed in this area of the room. The eastern part of the room is considered red, and the western side is considered yellow. Red and yellow items should be placed there respectively.
So why do we care about placement? Well, first and foremost, proper placement of red, yellow, and green items will earn you a HRA Placement Bonus (different from the HRA Colour Bonus). Perhaps more significantly, proper Feng Shui placement will improve your in-game luck. Players may notice that correct placement of items will increase the chance of them receiving rare items from their villager, and increased bell rewards when running errands.
Some items may have "double" values of placement colours, else two placement colours. Feng Shui items with double values placed on the proper colour will count as if it were two items placed on that colour. Items that have two different values will also count as two items (of their respective colours) if they are placed in corners (see diagrams below to see which spaces in your home count as two colours). Some items have a special lucky property regardless of where they are placed in your home. Items that have "special" Feng Shui and a placement value (such as the Lucky Cat) will count as special Feng Shui and as one placement for that colour if placed appropriately.
As a general rule, it is not a good idea to have the front side of furniture facing walls or usable items blocked. It is unclear how this affects Feng Shui.
Items without a Feng Shui placement colour can be placed anywhere in the room. These items will not alter your luck. In rooms that are 6x6 and larger, there are areas of the room that have no Feng Shui colour whatsoever. Items that have a Feng Shui value placed in these spots will not affect your luck.
In Animal Crossing for the Nintendo GameCube, you could place orange items on the northern side of the room (and there were respective orange spaces for these items). There are no such spaces in Animal Crossing: Wild World.
Green is on the SOUTH OF THE ROOM
Red is on the EAST OF THE ROOM
Yellow is on the WEST OF THE ROOM
Listed below is a list of items that have "special" Feng Shui properties. That is to say, you will receive "luck" from these items regardless of where they are placed in the house. These items also have an additional HRA value.
Lucky Items :
Arwing, Garden Gnome, Lucky Cat, Raccoon Figurine,
Big Festive Tree, Ivory Piano, Master Sword, Samurai Suit,
Birthday Cake, Jack-in-the-Box, Music Box, Scarab Beetle,
Dracaena, Lefty Lucky Cat, Piggy Bank, Treasure Chest,
Festive Tree, Lovely Phone, Pikmin, Triforce,
Four-Leaf Clover, Lucky Black Cat, Portrait, Washer/Dryer.
>>>20. Happy Room Academy (HRA):
To understand the HRA there are some basic definitions you need to know:
Series: A group of ten, matching, traditional furniture pieces, with accompanying wallpaper and carpet. A Series includes such items as beds, lamps, and tables. An example of a Series is the Classic Series. Series include the Necessities of Life.
Themes: A large or medium sized group of related items, with an accompanying wallpaper and carpet. Unlike Series, Themes consist of unconventional furniture. An example of a Theme is the Boxing Theme. The furniture reflects what one might find in a boxing arena rather than in a regular house.
Sets: A small group of related items, sometimes containing as few as two or three pieces. Furniture sets do not have matching wallpaper or carpet. An example of a set is the Froggy set, consisting of only a Froggy Chair and a Lily-pad Table.
Categories: Categories are large groups of related items that may include smaller sets. There are four different Categories in Animal Crossing: Wild World. These consist of Musical Instruments, Plants, Paintings, or Models. Plants, for example, may contain single, unmatched pieces as the lady palm, but also contain all the pieces of the complete Bonsai Sets. Since you need at least eight pieces from a single Category to receive a Category Bonus, if you were to place an entire three-piece Bonsai Set in a room with five additional Plants, you would receive a Category Bonus and a Complete Set Bonus.
Necessities of Life: These are the four pieces of furniture the HRA deems necessary for any house: Table, chair, wardrobe, and a dresser OR bureau.
Colour: Every item has two colours. Colours are designated as yellow, green, red, blue, pink, orange, colourful, grey, black, white and brown. Items that have a colour of yellow, red, or green can be placed in designated Feng Shui yellow, red, or green areas of your room. Arranging yellow, red, and green items in their corresponding areas will not only bring you luck, but a Feng Shui Bonus from the HRA. In general, items placed on the south side of the room should be green and will bring more luck concerning items, items placed on the west side of the room should be yellow and will bring more luck concerning money, and lastly, items placed on the east side of the room should be red and will bring more luck concerning items, as well. Items set in corners can cover more than one Feng Shui colour and receive double bonuses if applicable; for example, a Glow Clock (yellow/green) set in the southwest corner of the room. When animals ask for certain coloured items they are referring to these colours. Regarding floating presents, the color of a balloon will also correspond to one of the colours of the present it carries.
The HRA Colour Bonus (different from the Feng Shui placement bonus) is calculated per room; there must be at least ten items in the room to be eligible for a colour bonus. Additionally, a certain percentage of the room must be of a certain colour. Bonuses are awarded for colour percentages in excess of 70% or 90%. However, if you meet the 90% colour criterion, you will not be awarded an additional 70% bonus. When calculating this fraction or percent, you count both colours of each item in the room.
Genre: There are four genres of furniture: Modern, old school, Lovely, or Chic. Items can be either Modern or old school, OR Lovely or Chic. An item cannot be Modern AND old school or Lovely AND Chic. You need to have 10 items in a room to be eligible for a Genre Bonus. Genre Bonuses are calculated for the percentage of Modern vs. old school pieces and Lovely vs. Chic pieces. Thus, unlike colour, you can receive two Genre Bonuses per room. Genre bonuses are calculated similarly to how HRLucky Items: Lucky items are a group of items that have a special Feng Shui value. They increase your luck regardless of where they are set in the house. Lucky items that also have Feng Shui colors can also receive Feng Shui Bonuses in addition to Lucky Bonuses. For example, a Lucky Cat (which has yellow Feng Shui) if placed on the yellow side of the room will receive a Feng Shui Placement Bonus and a Lucky Bonus. A Colour Bonuses are calculated.

Other Basics
All items that have a function must be able to be used. For example, if you have a dresser in a room, a player must be able open the dresser without having to move it in order to receive full HRA points. Smaller items set on tables must be placed such that a player can use the item from at least one side of the table.
In Animal Crossing for Nintendo GameCube you could not put a chair up against a table without the HRA deducting points. This was because a chair could only be sat upon when a player was facing its front. This has been changed in Animal Crossing: Wild World. You can now sit on a chair from the front or the side. This does not necessarily apply to couches, so always check to see if you can sit on seats.
Items with faces, such as dharma and gyroids, must never face the wall. To clarify--yes, items will always face a wall, but they must not be placed directly up against a wall and facing it. Players commonly place gyroids next to the entry way so the player can see their faces as he or she walks in. The wall there is invisible to the player, but the HRA can see it. Items such as character pictures should never face another item if they are set on a table.
Items should not be left on the floor if they can be put away in a cabinet or placed on a table.
Common items, such as those that can be regularly purchased at Tom Nook's shop, do not generally bring in a lot of HRA points. Usually, rarer items, like those obtained from special visitors, are worth more HRA points. Lucky items are worth a lot of HRA points.
The HRA gives Bonus points if the majority of furniture in a room is of a certain colour, such as blue or white, or of a certain genre, such as modern or chic.
The HRA examines your entire house, excluding your attic (the save room)

>>>23. To Catch Bugs:
For the Ant you need to leave a rotten turnip on the ground and go into a house when you come back out there should be ants around the turnip. It is the same for the fly but just use some rubbish like a boot or a tin can fished out of the sea/river.
The Bee is difficult but just keep trying it, this does work I promise you. When you shake the tree and a nest falls out quickly go to your inventory and select your net. The bees wont sting you while you are in the menu. Then I find that if I turn the DS 90 degrees when in the inventory I find it easier to close inventory and press A quickly. You have to be very, very fast to catch them.
With Spiders you need to shake a tree and you may see 1 dangle down on a web, just swipe net to catch It, it wont go on to the ground. Unlike the bee you have a bit of time to get your net out after one comes out from the tree before it pulls itself back into the tree and you loss it.
With Cockroaches and many of the Beetles you will see them sat on the trunk of a tree, sneak up and swipe net.
The Ladybird you will see a little red dot on a flower again sneak up and swipe net. The Snail is the same but it has to be raining.
Fleas are difficult. Just keep an eye out on your Animals when you are talking to them and you may see a dot jumping up and down the animal may also talk about being itchy. Just swipe at them with the net.
The Dung Beetle you need to wait for snow then when you see a snowball moving about the ground swipe with your net to catch it.
Butterflies just chase and swipe as well as honeybees and dragonflies, locust etc.
The Mole Cricket you need to listen for a buzzing sound with no bug about. Then when it is loudest dig a hole and you may see a bug jump out and run off, just chase it and swipe with net. The best way to catch one is over on WiFi or DS to DS mode. With 2 people looking for it you should have one person digging for it and the other ready with their net to catch it.
Pill Bugs are under rocks so just hit them with your shovel and watch him run.
Pondskater will be on the little pond you will have around your town.
Watch out for the Tarantula and Scorpion as they dont like the idea of someone trying to catch them. They will be along the ground and run away from you is you dont have your net out. The second they see you holding a Net they will charge at you! If they bite you, your character will pass out and you will wake up outside your house. If you see one when not holding a net out get to a safe distance from it and get your net out. It should come after you and you have to have good timing to catch it. If you have your net out when you get close and it sees you run like mad! You are a little bit faster than them and they will give up after a bit. Once they do move in close and try and catch it.
>>>24. Perfect Town:
To have a Perfect Town you need to ask Pelly or Phyllis about the Environment in the Town Hall. They will then give you a cryptic clue as to what you need. More green normally means more trees or flowers. And too much means too many trees. However, it is not as easy as that. The remark about too many trees means there is one area in your town too crowded with trees, and this remark will comes up over any other of their remarks. So if you have not enough trees somewhere but too many somewhere else she will tell you there are too many trees over all. You have to find the right balance of trees to get your town Perfect. So if you have the message not enough trees then plant some fruit in an open space and ask each time you plant one. If the remark comes back not enough still then plant another and so on until the status changes. If you get the message too many after planting one normally you should dig up what you just planted and try somewhere else. It is very hit and miss and takes a lot of tweaking to get it right. Dont plant a tree right next to a building or rock. Have at least 1 gap (think of it as the size of a flower or a hole you make using the shovel) between the building and the tree. If you have a tree too close to a building then you cant get a Perfect Town.
Also to get a Perfect Town you must have flowers around each house and generally around the town and you must have at least 1 tree of each fruit. If you get the message it is good but something is missing it normally means you are missing a type of fruit. Also you must pick your weeds every day and make sure there is no rubbish around at all including items or fruit on the floor. Having garbage that you get from fishing or rotten turnips about town will give you an instant non-Perfect Town.
The best place to start with in order to get a Perfect Town is with flowers. It is the most over looked thing about getting the rating. The more flowers you have around town the less trees you will need over all. However, because Nook doesnt sell many a day it will take a long time to get a good amount of flowers for your town. Try to buy flowers from others town using WiFi and remember to water all of the dying flowers each day to keep your numbers up.
The best place to plant flowers is around the animals houses and the place where a house could be (show by the Tip notice boards seen around town). This way you can keep an eye on where your flowers are and how many you really have. Its best to have 2 rows of flowers around the sides and front of the animals houses. Dont have any around the back of the houses as you wont be able to see them. Having by your own house is a good idea as well. Having a lot of patches for flowers also works. Unlike the trees it doesnt matter where you place flowers, you just need to have a lot. Try to have over 100 flowers around town but remember there is no such thing as having too many flowers about town.
You know when you have a Perfect Town as when you ask Pelly or Phyllis about the environment they will say (Your Towns Name Here) is a great place to be! Its really come a long way! Sounds like this resident is very happy! In a town as lovely as (Your Towns Name Here), working doesnt even feel like work!
Once you have the Perfect Town message keep it perfect for about 2 weeks to get the Gold Watering Can. This can be difficult because as the saplings grow they can over populate an area giving the too many trees message. Once all of the trees are fully grown it will be easy to keep the rating as long as you water the dying flowers and continue to plant any extra you can get. Also everyday you will grow a new flower called Jabcos Ladders. They are white and only grow when you have a Perfect Town. You get one each day.

Once you hold one you can order it from Nooks Catalogue for just 1,960Bells each. Redd sells too many fake so this is the best way of getting real ones. Sometimes Paintings will appear in Nooks as a Spotlight item.

>>>26. Download Stations:
This is only for the AC:WW part of the Download Station.
They are easy to use. First you need to find one. GAME shops are a good start. Load your game up. Toss a bottle into the sea. Save and Quit. Go into Contract Mode and wait until your DS connects, shouldnt take any longer than 5 seconds. You will be told that you got something. Go to the beach and look for a bottle that will have a Nintendo item inside.
Tip: You can only do one bottle at a time so dont toss in more than one bottle at a time.
>>>27. Making Snowman:
After 2 failed attempts, my last six snowmen have been perfect (Snowman's words not mine!) If you are still having trouble this short step-by-step guide should help.
1) Locate your two snowballs and position them on the same piece of grass as each other (if you knock one in the river, dont worry, just pop into a building, it will have re-spawned in a random position in you town.)
2) Roll the body of the Snowman back and forth until the top of the body is about level with your characters forehead.
3) Roll the head in the same manner, until the top of the head is level with your characters nose.
4) Position the head just in front, and central to the body, and gently push the head onto the body.
5) Hey presto, one perfect snowman! Well it's worked six times in a row for me anyway!
So once you have the Perfect Town message (it is amazing or something similar) check on the status all the time and dont touch trees or flowers oh and remember to water the flowers.
>>>28. Hacked Seeds and Hacked Items:
Hacked Seeds are items that when planted will grow into something depending on the seed. There are many seeds like Nook seeds, house seeds and tree seeds. The only way of getting them is to use a Action Replay (Click here for the DS Version). Once the seed has been planted there is no way of getting rid of it and you will have to restart your game if you dont want it in your town.
Hack items are the same but wont mess up your game. They are just the normal, everyday items that you can get in the game but they have been hacked using the Action Replay and not got then right way in the game. The most common items that get hacked are all of the Gold Tools, the Mario/Nintendo Items and money. These items are 100% safe to have in your game.
>>>29. Getting a Friend Code:
While I cant help with your connection and computers setting, getting a Friend Code is easy as long as you can get your DS online. This is how: Firstly you need High Speed Broadband. Secondly you will need a home wireless network or the Nintendo DS WiFi UBS (Click here to see it). If you have that covered all you need to do now is work for Nook at the start of the game. Once done and you are free to play as you like go to the Town Gate and speak with Copper, the dog on the right. He will set everything up as long as he is able to get your DS online. Just ask him about getting a Friend Code from the options he gives you.
If you have 4 housemates they will each get a different Friend Code.
>>>30. Writing Letters to Animals:
All letters are posted at the Post Office window in the Town Centre. To write a letter, access your pockets, then choose writing paper or stationery. You will be able to choose:
Drop on Ground
Write Letter
Never Mind
(If you are inside a building when you access the writing paper, you will not have the option to drop it on the ground, but only to write a letter.)
When you choose to write a letter, you will receive a prompt to 'Choose Addressee'. All of the residents of your village, including any flatmates, as well as 'Your Future Self' will be listed. When you have chosen an addressee, you will be taken to a keyboard screen where you will be able to use your stylus to choose letters and punctuation.
The length of a letter is rather restricted in the DS. Content does not appear to matter as much as it did in the GameCube version but it is always good to mention the words 'best friend' and 'great present' as well as the name of your village with the word 'love'. There are a limited number of spaces allowed when you use any writing paper. Here is a good sample letter that uses the spaces to advantage:
'Enjoy this great present
from your best friend in
(name of town). I hope you love
this (name of item)!
When you send this letter with the designated item, you should receive a letter with a decent gift in return.
A gift is attached to a letter by dragging the item from the item section of your pockets to your correspondence section and placing it on the letter in question. Writing letters and sending gifts to other residents of your village has a number of benefits. First of all, it is a means by which friendship with the other villagers is sustained. A villager who is ignored may move from your village to another. Another benefit is reciprocation. When you send a gift to some one, you are more likely to receive a gift in return. Unusual and rare items of furniture, carpets and wallpaper often are sent as gifts.
The quality of your gift is irrelevant for the purpose of advancing friendship. You may send the least valuable items as gifts. These include a sheet of writing paper, a piece of native fruit or a common shell such as the porceletta or the sand dollar.
Writing paper, fruit or flowers may please an Animal but these are items that will not be displayed in the home, and therefore not items that will cause an existing item in the Animal's house to be recycled.
There is one advantage in sending an item to an Animal that he/she loves or is collecting as a set or theme. If the Animal has an item displayed in his/her house that you want, it is possible that he/she will discard that item in the Recycling Bin, replacing it with the item that you have sent. If, however, you send an item that the Animal dislikes, he/she most likely will take it to the Recycling Bin. To gain items that you desire, therefore, it is best to give Animals items that they prize.
When you travel to another village, you will find that you are able to write letters while you are there. Your address list will be different, however, and will be limited to the following:
1. Human inhabitants of the village you are visiting;
2. Any Animals who ever lived in your Village but have moved to this village;
3. Any Animals in this Village that you have met;
4. Your future self.
In other words, you cannot send a postcard to the Animals living at present in
your own village, as tourists often do. On the other hand, this presents a great opportunity to raise the friendship level of any Animal who moved away from your Village, especially if you did not receive a Portrait from that animal yet. As always, you can attach a gift to any letter.
A good letter to write to an Animal in another village might include:
'Enjoy this great present from your best friend in (name of YOUR village).
Here is (name of item) I hope you will love!'
When you visit an Animal in another village and/or send the Animal a letter with a gift, you will receive a letter in return. It is good to make as many Animal friends as possible. An Animal you have met in another village may move to your town one day. The ultimate reward of friendship is a Portrait of the Animal in question.
>>>31. Time Travel:
Time Travel may be tempting, but Animal Crossing is set up to punish those who do not obey the laws of physics. Just as the awful Resetti will appear to scold and humiliate you if you attempt to quit without saving, time travel will have some negative effects to deter cheating the clock. For a start, any white turnips that you have purchased from Joan, as well as any red turnips that have been planted, will spoil if you attempt to travel back in time. Certain quests will become impossible as well. One of these is the Lost Kitten Quest. If the character in the village where the kitten was lost travels through time, the kitten never will appear in that village. Meanwhile, in the other village, the Mother Cat will continue to weep and bemoan the loss of her child, day after day, but there will be no hope of recovery.
If you Time Travel on a regular basis, the Turnip prices that Tom Nook gives twice each day will not increase above 99 Bells. They will however recover after a week or two from the date you last time travelled, although will never attain the levels obtainable (up to 600 bells) in a town where time travel has never occurred.
Weeds will also grow in your town and all of your flowers will die (apart from Gold Roses) if you travel too far forward in time, say about a month. If you time travel to far ahead in time (say 50 years) then your town you fill up with weeds and you will lose the Perfect Town Rating if you had it.
The only real benefits is that you will earn interest in the Bank, but dont think that going to the year 2099 will get you the fill 999,999,999 Bell in the bank. You will only earn 99,999 each time you change the date. The best way to do you is to Time Travel forward 1 year at the time until you think you have all the money you need.
The other benefits are that you can go to any time of the year to catch any bugs and/or fish that you need for the museum. You can also do the Bug or Fishing competitions when you like.
>>>32. Pitfall Seeds:
This item only has one use: too make a trap. You get one in your town every day and Nook wont give you any Bells for it. When planted they show as a crack on the ground, like the ones for fossils, and when you walk over them you fall into a hole. To get out press A or tap the screen over and over or just wait and your character will jump out on there own. You are not the only one who can fall in, people who visit your town over WiFi can and Ive even seen one of the animals of the town fall into one. Basically they are useless, as you cant sell them.
>>>33. Holding Items:
Holding Items is a term that starting in the early days of the AC: WW board. All this is, is picking up an item and putting it into your inventory so that it will then go into your towns Nooks Catalogue and then giving the item back to the owner. This is the faster, and cheapest, way to fill Nooks Catalogue and so you can order the item yourself later. There are a few things to remember with Holding Items. There are items that will go into the Catalogue but you cannot order them from it, the Metroid being an example. It will say Not For Sale when you see them in the Catalogue. There are even items that wont show up in Nooks Catalogue even if you hold it. These are most of the Nintendo/Mario Items and a few others.
