So, what is different in the DS game? I've been thinking of getting it but I never did complete it on N64, I think I'll get it anyway, also, does t have wifia and any minigames/multiplayer storyline? My brother was going to get it aswell, I moght lend him the money so that I can takes his stars and ambassidorise (I know it's not a word) his account :p

It has more stars. I know that much. I don't own the game you see.

I own it! There are more stars you can play as yoshi, Wario and Luigi as well as mario. There are more secret areas, the palace gardens are different, there are more rabbits and when you collect all the stars on the roof of the palace instead of there being Yoshi (who gives you a special triple jump) there's someone else, i'm not gonna tell you who though.

BumP:

You also get some better levels on super mario 64 DS.

Theres no wifi. But its really old now, I think it came out the same day as the DS. You complete it quite easily. I wouldn't get it.

I still prefer the original myself and probably always will. It was a gaming masterpiece. ;)

I've owned both, and they are both very good. The DS version has all the extras, whilst the N64 version has better controls. The N64 controller (especially the Control Stick) was designed FOR that game. I prefer the original, just for the feeling of nostalgia.

I prefer the original though I know/own the DS one

The original is overall better, but I love the mini-games of the DS version.

The N64 verison is better but DS is still great, but made a little easier. In my eyes your best bet is to download the N64 one to the Wii. It will be cheaper and play better but if you haven't got a Wii then the DS verison with it's extras is a great buy. Its a Win-Win really.

I agree. Anyways, I say that the one advantage that the DS version has aside from mini-games, is that it's portable and 4 playable characters. The way I see it is this, if you want to play with better Camera and controls, than original is better. If you want more characters and tons of fun mini-games on the road, than DS is the better choice. Either way, it's win-win, like G_R7 said.
